Spring Break

For Spring Break this year Shelby and Brooke drove up to see us from Utah and they rested a few days and reminisced about their childhood and teen years. After they were here a few days we took a quick trip to the coast. We went farther south than we usually do and we explored some of the rocky beaches at Coos Bay. We climbed around some great rocks and looked at the tide pools. We saw some beautiful views and then we took lots of fun pictures.

Saturday we rented ATV's and cruised around the sand dunes. That was a novel experience for sure. The wind and the rain made it extra exciting! It was a new experience for sure.

It ended too soon as most vacations do and we made the long journey home, noticing the swollen rivers along the road back. The local rivers, water puddles and ponds almost remind me of the ocean... with the wind they are creating little cresting waves and a lot of turbulence and concern. Some people have even started the sand bags. Stay tuned.
