So many great things have happened in March!
First of all… Amanda was able to play on the basketball team which won 2nd place at state! Kris coached the girls to an amazing finish and we all got to spend some days in Coos Bay watching our last daughter compete in our family’s favorite sport.
Brooke tagged along and was the best most supportive cheerleader. She did her sisters hair in Battle braids and helped me find things to do and places to park.
Stefani, Glen and the boys made the trip over also! They decided to come last minute and surprised us all! Zeke really enjoyed the beach and made a sand castle. He also took some sand home to Idaho in a Tupperware container.
The following weekend Jenny our little pandemic baby turned 2. We drove over to celebrate in a penguined themed party. She was really digging all of the attention and loved playing at a toddler type play zone. It had little shopping carts and play plastic food and cars and a play area with netting and slides. It is so fun to have sweet grand babies.
Our community choir put on the first concert in 2 years and I accompanied them and also rang the highest bell in the bell choir.
Mid March I turned 52 and met my parents in Bend. They had rented a hotel and treated me to dinner a movie and multiple shopping stops. I bought a pig popper toy for my grands and they bought a cuckoo clock so it was a win win for all. We enjoyed visiting.
Spring break was a dud for me as I work the entire time to help coworkers who had other plans…. But Brooke came home and entertained Amanda with soda runs and sister time. She is the best!
Here’s looking forward to more good times. We are fasting tomorrow for rain for the region. We are particularly hard hit by drought and it is only March. This summer could be very bad for fires and the ranching community in general.
