I feel like this month I am keeping my head above water. It's been a little crazy.
We have been enjoying our Japanese exchange student. Koyuki speaks better English than any of our previous guests. She arrive the 24th of July. We picked her up in the park and took her home to our crazy abode.
Stefani and Glen arrived that weekend and we had lots of fun happening in the house. We had yummy meals, water fights, an evening making smores around our fire pit and many games of Phase 10 and Japanese Uno. We also took a drive up to Fish Lake and had fun in the water. The starter went out on the car and Kris was able to have it fixed for fairly cheap and he also ON HIS OWN reworked some faulty wires. (miracles never cease).
Last week Brooke went on the Pioneer Trek. We sewed her some awesome skirts and an apron. She wasn't too thrilled about the clothing. She survived the trek but had a nasty case of food poisoning. She vomited all the first night and then rode in the "sick wagon". She impressed me that she actually stuck it out. I would've been calling to be evacuated by air life or something. By the last day she was fine. They walked and walked and walked and pushed handcarts.
Our 4-H lambs were turned out into the bigger pen. Usually the girls help feed once a day but this week they have fed morning and night which is super good for them. Some days I help them hold the fence while they guide the lambs into the pen.
Shelby has been working in the hay fields. Hailey leaves for her mission in 3 weeks. Her farewell is the 14th.
The kids are doing some volleyball and cheerleading camps and school starts soon too.
