Weekend Fun

We made it to another weekend. Shelby caught a ride home and we've been enjoying her immensely. Last night we went to a Relief Society craft night. Mainly we just visited and ate the yummy soup. Crafts tend to frustrate me and I was trying to get people to do them for me. Hailey was helping Jana finish hers and I abandoned mine and started helping Sabrina.

Today we got in the car and drove to a really secluded pond. It was very cold and so we built a fire. It was fun listening to 4 of the 5 girls banter back and forth and sing and fight. Amanda peed all over her pants trying to take a break over in the sagebrush. Then she got angry and went into the car and squirted ketchup all over things. We coaxed her out after fashioning a skirt with a shirt and loaning her some used underwear turned inside out. Then we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for s'mores. Kris attempted some fishing. The dog wandered around and eventually we loaded up again and made the trek home.

Home is warm and cozy these days.. what with the lowering temps. The nights are coming sooner. We've had a teasing of snow but nothing big yet. Home is always better than anywhere else. Especially with loved ones in it.
