New Month

What would you do if ......? Do you ever wonder what you would do if you had a chance to start over.. or weren't limited by the constraints of whatever rules your mind is telling you are important to follow?.. People's expectations... other people's needs...

Sometimes it changes our perspective when we see things outside the box or change the parameters for the possibilities. Sometimes it is frightening. Change always is.


We are growing out of clothes around here. Suddenly we all need new pants and socks and underwear.


The weather has been good and Trucker has discovered that our acreage is a dog's paradise. Everywhere as far as the eye can see there are gopher holes. She will put her nose down a hole and sniff the fresh dirt and then dig and dig and dig. She could do this for hours. Luckily, it doesn't matter because the acreage isn't our lawn. So she can roam and roam and roam and dig and dig and dig... coming in to collapse in exhaustion by her water dish when she tires.


Shelby finished several of her scholarship applications and was accepted to Snow as a student. She is now going to travel to work out with their basketball team. We are hoping that they want her as a future player.

Hailey Mae is our social butterfly. She is always entertaining and listening to her escapades puts a smile on my face.

Amanda is pretty booked. She is playing.. volleyball, piano, violin, and also tap dancing and starting ballet. She sometimes does a little tumbling on Friday. Every kid is different and some can't handle lots of things.. Let's just say Amanda is up for it all. She thrives on these many activities.

Brooke has worked incredibly hard this past year academically. The kids take benchmark exams that she has had difficulty passing in the past. This year, she passed and exceeded all of them. The principal acknowledged her efforts at an assembly. Although things don't come as easy to her, I hope the lesson of her effort paying off will stay with her.

Stefani drew this picture one night last week... I am a little amazed at her artistry. What a great talent!

I am tired of things. Tired of Kris being gone all the time coaching. Tired of being the one cleaning everything. Tired of being the one making sure everyone else has fun.

Hmmmmm. I think I need a change.
