BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE

The saga of the broken oven continues. The repair man (Tony) had come and replaced a part.. and the appliance seemed to be functioning.
Sunday morning our cook (KRIS) placed some potatoes in the oven on 200 to gently cook while we worshipped.
Stefani had driven herself home from the high school late Saturday night (yeah!!) from a late game and therefore didn't go to church (this detail is crucial).
Her late am sleep is suddenly interrupted by the smell of smoke.
The potatoes were burnt black and smoke was filling the house. The oven had malfunctioned and was cooking at a high temperature (the computer said F2). Then it suddenly shut itself off. She opened all the door to air the house out.
We returned home to the mess. For dinner Kris used new potatoes cooked in the microwave to concoct some type of soup cooked in the plug in the wall skillet thingee.
Tony was called again and is ordering another part...
Too bad we don't have an extra $4000 for a new Jen Air stove.
